"Smoldering (nee "Burning") Tree" finds his Creekside resting spot, joined by a baby moose just down river (we did not see mama, so we quickly pushed back home before she saw us!).
On other fronts, the 4:00 p.m. daily winds have picked up, stirring up smoke and reigniting previously sleeping embers, creating a real issue for neighbors just down stream where Der Fire meets Der Creek right now. Crews, fire engines and pumpers are there to stay the fire at the Creek and, based on personal experience right here over the last two days, I would not place any bets on Der Fire crossing Der Creek of, if it does, not for long. Once again, we will see.
