9:15 p.m. Monday
The scheduled weather front broke the upward horizon around 8:30, right on schedule but, so far at least, instead of the mayhem that was predicted the opposite has happened: an inversion layer showed up and put a blanket over this valley, sending smoke, instead of upwards in a tizzy, downwards in a slow, settling manner. Watering all that is wet has continued until now, nightfall, when once again the Orcs show that they have not abandoned the area, as their mountainside campfires start revealing themselves.
So far, so good; and that is a GREAT thing!
