Hello Friends!

Well, Group Three is here and I have wrested control of Der Blog from RCR for this latest update!

The first arrivals came in Sunday night, with Grady Garrett and Penny Shawback driving out from Sun Valley, Idaho to join us a a day early. The rest of the bunch arrived at the airport shortly after 11am on Monday morning, and we made the traditional trip to the Grizzly Hackle to get everyone set up and ready to fish.

RCR gets Brian Shepard set up with a fishing licence. Now that is some thorough lawyering!

Next, as previous groups know, we lunch at the MacKenzie River Pizza company. Although the food was again terrific, I am sorry to report that Sandy the waitress once again spurned my offer to drop by Rock Creek for dinner.

Then, it was back to Rock Creek for some casting practice! Ron's class looks like the starting line of the Indy 500:
Everyone relaxed and enjoyed some good times around the house:

After some mishaps with Groups One and Two, Ron gives digital camera instruction in greater detail:
Valinda Cowing gets into the spirit!

Business dispensed with, it is on to pleasure. Here, Ron sings an ode to the Yellow Hat:

All necessary business completed, RCR took a few anglers down to his namesake Rock Creek for their first live fire fishing. Ron works with Kelly Kingsland:

And the private lesson pays off! Kelly lands her first fish before supper! As is tradition, Kelly and her first ever catch lock lips:

Back at the house, around dinner time...

Jim and Eric Killin pal'ing around:

Josef Shepard digs in:

Brian Shepard, Tyler Clausen, Penny Shawback, Grady Garrett and a surprised looking blogger enjoy the tasty meal:

Some huckleberry pie is enjoyed inside:

Yeah, I know the blog is a bit short tonight, but folks just got here! But rest assured, I'll go to any length an even wade through knee deep water to bring you the scoop on Group Three's exploits!

Dave

Hey Ron
Kind of hard to tell from the restaraunt photo but is group 3 another salad group???
Sandy the waitress would probably be more impressed if you guys would order some MEAT....at least a few burgers. Comon!! You're in Montana!! Looked like a lot of water glasses and a bottle of rootbeer on the table!! And who ordered that diet coke????
Also......there was an awful lot of youngsters in the photo. Are you planning to catch fish with this group or sleep in until 11am?? Good luck with the fish count.

Also:
Kelly is fortunate her first fish didn't have teeth and wasn't a real fish. That may have looked like a kiss to you guys but that fish was not interested in frenching anybody....its trying to take a chunk out of her lip!!!! Look at em go!!!(As any good Montana trout would do). Only California trout kiss someone who yanks them out of the water...(its more politically correct)

And Dave?? What's he doing out in the water in Denim acting like an ape (only assumed from the hand gestures he's making).
Get the man some clothes Ron, he's not even wearing the proper RCR hat and I assumed he probably dropped his camera in the water when his converse tennies slipped on the rocks.
I could go on but won't....the obvious place to start would be everyone looking puzzled at their cameras. Whats that all about???

Anyway Ron, as a concerned group 2 veteran I would suggest taking it easy with group 3....don't push them too hard, you know its going to be hot out there, don't worry about the fish count and we'll be helping all we can with sage advice from a distance.
Good Luck, you'll need it!!!
Now GET TO FISHING!!

Hi Kathy!!
