Announcing the Arrival of Group Three!!!

Group Three, eighteen members strong--the largest group in Extravaganza history--wings its way to Extravaganzaland today for five days of frolic, including three days of fishing and, on the Fourth of July, to host the Fifth Annual Extravaganza Fly Casting Contest and GH staff appreciation whole pig roast feast.

Except for returning Group Three veteran contractors Bob and Kenny Kingsland (who arrived last Friday from Florida, this year with rookie wives Kelly an Erin on their arms [all of whom who have spent the past few days touring Glacier National Park]) and with the additional exception of last evening's early drive-in arrival from Sun Valley of cement contractor rookie Grady Garrett and his interior designing fiancĂ©e Penny Shawback (each of whom got early casting lessons on the lawn last evening),  the whole of Group Three arrives on one Delta flight this morning (yes, we filled 25% of that incoming flight!).

One of the theme of Group Three is "Couples", with six couples in all:  Adding to the Kingsland four and the Garrett two are three-time veteran returnees atty Ladd and nurse Kristine Bedford from Point Richmond ("our other office" locale),  San Diego-based Red Mountain Machinery rookies Owen and Valinda Cowing and Napa newbies Jeff Gelow and Vicki Thorpe (who are bringing nephew Andrew with them).  Another Group Three theme is that of "Fathers and Sons", as Napa grape growing guru and three-time veteran Brian Shepard this year returns with BOTH of his sons, Josef and Nicholas (each of whom have fished separately before with us, but never together) and as Silicon Valley's Henley Putnam University CFO rookie Jim Killin joins the fray with his son Eric.

Just as has been the case for each of Groups One and Two, forecasts for both weather and fishing conditions continue to be "perfect", with expectations of rain-absent skies boasting highs in the upper 80's which will thereafter, pleasantly, see cooling off into the mid-50-s in the evening hours.  Before the final rod is put in its case, Group Three will have put 26 boats on the water--an(other) Extravaganza record.
