We just had a visit from the Sheriff telling us that we are, most likely, moments away from an evacuation order (which we will fully comply with). If we leave, we will be staying at John Menson's guest house at mile marker 6 (yes, right next to that heliport); his number can be obtained by calling the Rock Creek Mercantile at (406) 825-6440.
Right now this is a preliminary notification, only, but the fire at Sawmill Gulch won/lost the race, as tree tops are now ablaze just across the Creek.
