A 40+ Rock Creek Fish Day!

On much like a tune up day for a golf tournament, Jim Hendrickson and RCR tested the waters of Rock Creek yesterday and turned in a 40+ fish day, with Hot Shot Hendrickson with the prize of the day, shown above: A 19" beauty of a brown trout--just about as big as they get on "The Crik". They were not alone on the Creek, as, dining on bushes at the 15 mile marker, they were joined by Mildred the Moose--the first (of expected several) Extravaganza moose sightings.

Typical afternoon cooling and thunderheads welcomed their day, as the weather is so variable in these parts that fleeces, sunscreen, wind, clouds, a few sprinkles and reoccurring sunshine marked their Extravaganza 2007 maiden voyage. Watch out, Group One, as, in just hours, your Sunday forecast has changed from partly cloudy skies to a high probability of showers--and it will probably do all of that and more.

Moral: Come prepared with it all, and don't leave home without those polarized sunglasses and a true rain jacket!
