Sawmill Gulch Fire Update

Attached are photos of a heliopter with a 650 gallon bucket dipping into our neighbor's pond and then heading for the fire on the background hills. Good news today, as our organization efforts of yesterday paid off with (a) the addition of a second, 2,000 gallon carrying helicopter to fight the south end of this now 100+ acre Sawmill Gulch Fire, (b) fire crews being assigned to rappel into the fire this morning for the first ground attach on the fire's continued advance towards Rock Creek and (c) tremendous radio and television coverage of our request for additional assitance, to be followed by an expected print article in The Missoulian covering our requested Forest Service Update Meeting to be held tonite at 7:00 p.m.
