FW: A Call to Extravaganza Arms!

Greetings Fellow Extravaganzers One and All!!

Well, it now has been a week since Group Four left the hallowed halls of Extravaganzaland and I find myself (for a brief period of time, anyway) back here in the Bay Area, still in recovery mode, managing matters of legal and fiscal affairs. As to the latter, click here to read a letter from my Montana subdivision-fighting partner, Rock Creek Protective Association President John Menson. I reach out to each of you to help make Extravaganza 2007 truly legendary in the history of Montana's Rock Creek.

As part of our final RCPA fundraising push to fund our subdivision opposition efforts (the hearing on the subdivision is now set for August 22nd), RCPA has decided to place a perpetual plaque at the entrance of Rock Creek to honor those who have given so much towards our now legendary battle to oppose a 36-unit subdivision at the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clark Fork of the Columbia River. As set forth in the letter, donors will be recognized by the amount of their financial contributions, and, in addition to Kathy and my personal check in the amount of $2,500 already given to the cause, in true Extravaganza fashion, I have pledged that the members of Extravaganza 2007 will, collectively, at least match our contribution and be forever known as $2,500+ "Bull Trout Contributors" towards the cause--the highest level of RCPA recognition.

What will that take on our collective part? If each participant were to donate $100 (or more, at your discretion) in the form of a (tax-deductible) check payable to "Clark Fork Coalition" and mail it to Lou's attention at our office (Clausen Law Group, 1160 Brickyard Cove Road, Suite 201, Pt. Richmond, CA 94801), collectively, we will become one of the single largest contributors to preserve the integrity of our precious Rock Creek environment.

What a fitting way to put a bow on Extravaganza 2007, where we launched over 90 boats, fished over 750 hours, laughed over 2,000 hours and landed (and released) over 1,750 beautiful trout specimens. (Checks should be mailed so they are received by CLG no later than July 31st.)

Are you up to it Extravaganzers??

Whaddayasay?!?

And for those 2500+ of you who joined us viscerally on Der Blog, "c'mon aboard" and join this year's Extravaganza participants as well, for your (tax free) donations will be welcomed extravagantly and used to preserve the integrity of Montana's environment and the sanctity of future Extravaganzas.

Viva The Extravaganza and may long live Rock Creek, one of Montana's finest Blue Ribbon fishing streams!!

Rock Creek Ron
