Announcing the Arrival of Group Two!
Group Two wings its way to Missoula today (with the exceptions of Napa high-end homebuilder Mark Grassi who drives in from his second homestead in Sun Valley and of rookie Rob Cooper who is "hoggin' it" all the way from CA), and it took at least 24 hours of almost non-stop rain for Missoula and its environs to cool off from the frenetic activities of glorious Group One (who, yes, set new records for alcoholic consumption--exceeding even our highest [lowest?!?] Extravaganza 2007 expectations--way to go Group Oners!).
In addition to the two land rovers, Group Two is headlined by two five time returnees (yes, folks, they have made EACH of the now five Extravaganzas) Oak Grove Construction's Doug "Popeye" Hamilton (this time bringing with him rookie brother-in-law fishing fanatic Angel Perez--an odds on favorite for at least one Yellow Hat) and extraordinary Santa Rosa CPA Tim "The Marauder" Moratto (this time bringing with him his beautiful new bride Sally, or, as those in the know know, just "Sal"). Veteran couplization of Group Two continues with four time returnees Walsh Vineyards Management Tim "Squawfish" [more on that moniker in future Group Two reports!] Rodgers and his spectacular bride "Shanna Banana" Rodgers, who will be escorting our special Group Two guest, Napa pre-schooler legend "Miz Lori" Ware.
The balance of this second group consists of seasoned individual Extravaganza veterans, except for rookie UC Davis Law School Alumni President Tom "Long Arm" Stallard, that is (who will be joining his CLG new hire son and Extravaganza blogmaster extraordinaire Dave Stallard), beginning with Marin big-hitter realtor Peter "The Carib" Narodny together with his two time returnee son Alex; followed by Parducci Winery's Tom "The Parduch" Thornhill (yes, we are long on Parducci wine and port for Group Two!), by North Bay developer Scott "Big Fish" Vion, and, last, but not least, by real estate mogul Dave "The Whiner" Currie (the name being self explanatory).
That's the Group Two batting order, folks--another fifteen in all; and, as with Group One, the Group Two weather and the fishing forecasts are both perfect...once again eliminating all excuses (don't you hate it when a plan totally works out)!!
Viva la Extravaganza!!
